To provide optimum provision for the Logistics team. This would entail assisting with entire organization Logistics and Asset Management of the National Office, Projects and ADPs. To ensure that the National Office Logistics & Asset Management functions are within the partnership standards. The role also requires setting forth plans for an efficient and effective Logistics & Asset Management supported by the business plans for implementing goals and objectives. Another key requirement would be to maintain information and develop analytical reports as and when required to help the organization for better decision making. Should integrate and support the development and HEA programs to reach their goals efficiently and effectively. A key focus of this position is training of relevant staff and where needed the organization on all aspects of Logistics practices Asset Management practices and technical requirements.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Initiate & implement a well-coordinated strategy for the effective & efficient asset management inclusive of logistics, fleet, warehouse and assets of the National Office, Field Offices and Projects across the country.
  • Assist in implementing, and formalising the logistics & Asset management policies, procedures & practices for the effective and efficient use of organisation resources
  • Develop & maintain effective Warehouse Management System in compliance with the accounting & audit standards and rating in line with organisational policies & procedures
  • Oversight of field staff in Asset & Fleet Management & Develop & submit analysis reports of Logistics & Asset Management for management decision making
  • Periodic visit & monitoring of WVL offices and warehouses & coordinate effective Asset Management & File archiving to meet WVI standards
  • Act as a backup for the Logistics & Fleet Management Officer including , request for vehicles, cab-chits, stationary is managed effectively.
Educational Background: 
Diploma in Travel/Asset Management & Administration or any equivalent qualifications
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 2 years of Work experience in office/fleet management & related area
  • Knowledge & experience in the use of MS Office suite
  • Fluency in written & spoken English Sinhala and/or Tamil
  • Ability to liaise with people of all social & economic levels
  • Good interpersonal skills with a flair for public relations
  • Commitment to World Vision core values & ability to work well in a cross-cultural work environment
