Assists in the design and execution of collateral to support national corporate sponsorship programs. Creates graphics to meet specific promotional needs, using a variety of mediums to achieve the desired strategic outcomes that secure new and increase support from national corporate sponsors.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Creates designs, concepts, and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
- Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, aligning the style with the Make-A-Wish and sponsor brand guidelines.
- Coordinates with members of the Brand Advancement and Corporate Alliances teams to create synergy within all campaigns.
- Maintains working files and archives artwork.
- Follows Brand Advancement workflow process including use of project management tool for all projects.
- Works with project managers to ensure projects meet deadlines and the needs of target audiences.
- Serves as liaison to printing/production vendors to ensure materials created are delivered to the vendors in the appropriate format, and are printed professionally and to the precise printing specifications.
- Participates in creative brainstorming sessions with other members of Brand Advancement, Corporate Alliances, and other teams within the organization.
- Assists freelance workers to ensure clarity, professionalism, high quality, and a consistent voice and style in all Make-A-Wish materials.
- Time permitting, designs logos, publications and other collateral as requested by Creative Services Director or Graphics Manager.
- Design custom corporate sponsor proposals, presentations, and reports materials to effectively showcase ROI for the sponsor, key metrics that align with the goals and objectives of sponsorship and impact utilizing the corporate brand attributes and campaign design elements.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree (B.A) in graphic design, visual arts, or related field from four-year college or university; at least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the creation of an artistic end product.
- Possess strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Engage effectively with professionals at all levels of the organization.
- Organize work, prioritize, and delegate to meet deadlines, and make timely decisions with sound judgment.
- Ability to lead, influence and negotiate.
- At least two years’ experience as a professional graphic artist, with experience in producing a wide range of printed and electronic promotional materials
- Experience at a public relations or advertising agency and/or a major non-profit organization desirable
- Portfolio work required; must be compromised of work created and designed exclusively by the graphic artist
- Result and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle multiple projects on deadline
- Must possess the ability to succeed in a learning environment
- Timely attendance at the office is an essential duty
