Responsible for the operational support of the fundraising planning and strategy process at the affiliate level of the organization. Organizes and manages key projects and delivers support required to ensure a high level of responsiveness, efficiency and accuracy required for strategic support to Development and Field Operations. Serves as lead on organizational Business Intelligence and reporting for development. Ensures development operations functions are proactive, efficient, effective and innovative. Provides support for projects initiated by the SVP, Development Strategy and Operations for campaign and analysis.

Works with National and Affliiate senior leaders to provide visbility into campaign strategies by providing quality data analysis and synthesis. Consults with senior leaders to provide direction based on data trends. Also responsible for working across Internal functions to act as coordinator on projects where development strategies and communications are critical to successful business outcomes. Responsible for management of year-round calendar of all development field operations, integration with departments, customer segments targeted/impacted, etc.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage the budget preparation process and ongoing variance reporting for the team, including expenses of SVP.
  • Manage, support and implement various field operations key projects such as executive reports, preparation of presentations and scripts, and meeting preparation.
  • Oversight and development of consistent, vetted and up to date field resources (in partnership with team SVPs/VPs)
  • Provide direction, proactive information, team communication, and excellent customer service to EVP, SVPs, VPs including customized business intelligence
  • Responsible for the operational support of the fundraising planning and strategy process of the unrestricted field campaign including serving as coordinator and convener of all Business Intelligence and reporting for corporate development. Manage reporting to the field including collaboration with all "feeders" of information such as Finance. Ensure timeliness, presentation, field usage, etc.
  • Provide high level administrative support to SVP and VPs as required.
  • Manage year round calendar of all development field operations, integration with departments, customer segments targeted/impacted, etc.
  • Manage GSA-wide reporting including campaign progress reports to the EVP and affiliate board
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of proven fundraising/sales support
  • Experience in consultation to staff over which there is no reporting relationship
  • Ability to manage group processes
  • Intermediate knowledge of Siebel, E1, IQ, BlackBaud, Greater Giving
  • Ability to form and develop strategic relationships
  • Proven ability to understand and navigate corporate cultures
  • Ability to learn and follow the strategic direction of the AHA
  • Able to plan and conduct meetings
  • Proven ability to work without close supervision
  • Ability to creatively explore new methods for achieving operational goals
  • Strong bottom-line mentality
  • Ability to work across business lines
  • Advanced computer and MicroSoft product knowledge
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
