The project specialist works with the Creative Services team to oversee assigned projects. The incumbent is responsible for scheduling and coordinating project efforts and resources for Make-A-Wish National Office under the direction of the Creative Services Project Manager.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages the day-to-day activity of assigned projects, ensuring the work is successfully completed within time and budget parameters while meeting quality of work expectations
- Understands project objective and strategy; works with Director of Creative Services to guide the team in identifying, communicating and developing solutions for any potential problems or opportunities related to tactical execution
- Ensures all necessary team members are appropriately engaged in the project, including the client and external resources, as well are potential freelancers and vendors
- Ensures all projects follow established creative workflow processes
- Collaborates with Creative Services Project Manager to manage and track creative job requests and timelines in project management software
- Obtains all project details for each creative job request (ensuring all necessary information is obtained and tracks down any missing information)
- Works with the Director of Creative Services, Creative Services Project Manager and creative team to balance the workload, accounting for skill sets, individual speed, vacation and sick time
Skills/Experience:
- Adept at effectively and efficiently scheduling, organizing and coordinating project efforts and resources in a timely manner.
- An intuitive understanding of creative development in all its forms.
- Ability to facilitate productive dialogue and faithfully represent our creative efforts and methodologies to stakeholders.
- Possess strong verbal, interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to think creatively and critically while maintaining a collaborative and positive approach.
Qualifications:
- A demonstrated ability to effectively manage small- to medium-sized projects independently on assigned accounts. Generally, requires 2-5 years of experience in project management or account management in a full-service in-house or external agency environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required. Experience with Workfront, or other project management software preferred, but not required.
