This role centers on collaborating with stakeholders to transform insights informed by data into actionable intelligence. This includes helping to shape, evolve and implement HR’s Analytics strategy and vision. The program manager is a key contributor within HR and cross-foundation analytics, with the goal of providing necessary insights to guide stakeholder decision making regarding policies and procedures.

The Program Manager, People Analytics role is split between managing the work, partnerships (internally/externally), platforms and vendors of the People Analytics team, as well as advanced data analyst tasks such as data maintenance, data integration, data visualization/dashboard creation, data summaries and predictive analytics.

Those most successful in this role will have advanced analytics skills with business acumen, intellectual curiosity and the desire to contribute to the foundations mission by turning data into insights that facilitate key decisions for the foundation.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Direct, manage and advance the People Analytics team vision, strategy and goals
  • Lead HR’s People Analytics data administration and assessment processes toward being more efficient and impactful
  • Oversee, manage, maintain cross-foundation survey platform (Ultimate Perception) and exit survey data platform (Work Institute), including partnership with internal data integrations and external vendor relationship
  • Maintain People Analytics as internal COE for generating advanced survey metrics and predictive analytics, including overseeing annual engagement survey and ONA data process in lieu of external vendors
  • Guide quality, accuracy and usability of analytical resources/technology from design through implementation.
  • Propagate sharing and creative data culture across foundation by engaging with fellow analysts and leaders
  • Design and implement projects that exploit analytics in new ways to address existing program issues, such as attrition, performance, and career.
  • Support the design and development of critical analytic assets such as Workforce Planning models, Headcount Models, KPI’s for HR efficiency and effectiveness, analytic applications and data visualizations.
  • Develop and implement analytics solutions on a variety of platforms ranging from KPI dashboards to the application of predictive analytic capabilities ranging from simple lists to more complex summary/aggregate reporting and statistical models (using business intelligence instruments such as Alteryx, Tableau or similar).
  • Lead program development in metrics, reporting, and analytics specifically around automation, sustainability and extensibility of current models. 
  • Provide analysis and tracking of data through reporting, dashboards, ad hoc analysis and strategic partnering to share insights and ensure understanding within HR, Program, and Operating teams.
  • Train end-users on self-serve resources and provide simple user guides to interpret complex data analyses to users.

Data Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, survey methodology and instruments, Tableau, Alteryx, and Workday
  • Background in quantitative social science, statistics, data or technology
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills, including ability to communicate analytics to a non-technical audience
  • Deep problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Experience with a variety of business intelligence methodologies and instruments
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Deep understanding of data administration and analytics principles.
  • Ability to understand and reconcile gaps, overlaps, and apparent contradictions among and within models, reports or reporting instruments

Education and Experience

  • Advanced degree with 7+ years of experience, with 3+ years analyzing large data sets and creating data models, background in statistics, social science, data or technology.
