One of the top strategic initiatives for the organization is to implement a Wish and Volunteer Center utilizing Salesforce. We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer to assist with the implementation, customization, and ongoing support for this new solution.
As the Salesforce Developer you will be responsible for maintaining the company’s Salesforce.org support functions, customization, development and integration with other systems and performing additional administrative tasks related to overall reporting and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Salesforce development environments jointly responsible for maintaining complex configurations of the Salesforce platform (both Classic and Lightning). The role will also take responsibility for creating design specifications, testing, and preparing technical documentation.
You will maintain relationships with customers and cross functional teams at the most professional and effective levels to ensure that the application functionality aligns with organization needs while addressing end user requests. The position requires the ability to function successfully in both team and independent work environments to support the National Office and 62 chapters across the United States.
- Provides application design guidance and consultation, utilizing a thorough understanding of applicable technology, tools and existing designs.
- Analyzes highly complex business requirements, designs and writes technical specifications to design or redesign complex computer platforms and applications.
- Provides coding direction to less experienced staff or develops highly complex code.
- Verifies program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs.
- Oversees overall systems testing and the migration of platforms and applications to production.
- Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guides.
- Has ability to leads projects, and work in a team environment.
- Assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met.
- 4+ years building Salesforce Applications (Classic and Lightning) including APEX and VisualForce development. VisualForce development, developing Triggers and integrating into other internal systems.
- 4+ years of development and implementation experience with applications, databases, or a combination of both.
- 4+ years of experience analyzing requirements and designing new solutions for application and database components.
- 1+ years of developing in Lightning platform.
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong experience in SFDC development using Apex classes, Triggers, Visual Force, SOQL and SOSL
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Experience leading projects that require integration of multiple technology systems to deliver new online functionality and user experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with a quantitative development team about models and integration strategies
- Ability to learn and assimilate information from multiple people and sources
- Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and follow specific guidelines
- Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge and understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming
- Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects
- Knowledge and understanding of technology architecture: solutions for web applications and web services
- Knowledge and understanding of XML (Extensible Markup Language)
