The incumbent will ensure community mobilization and information sharing on project information; participate in beneficiary identification, verification, selection and registration in the project areas among other food security and livelihood roles.
Areas of Responsibility:
Support Project implementation for both food and cash/voucher transfers:
- Support the GIK/Commodities team with beneficiary registrations
- In consultation with the project officer organize and draw work plans
- Be involved in community mobilization, targeting and monitor movement and distribution of project & Cash For Work (CFW) activities/wet feeding.
- Support all voucher/cash distributions under the FFA or other cash transfer models within Food Assistance.
- Safe handling and custody of all equipment; SCOPE/LMMS machines and CTS computers.
- Filing of key commodity reports and records as directed by Supervisor.
Filing and Monthly Reporting
- Review all attendance lists and food/cash allocations monthly and ensure all required forms are reviewed, approved and on file.
- Review of beneficiary distribution lists from the field for correctness and ensure all necessary forms are attached.
- Support Partners in documentation, records and filling of registers
Monitoring
- Support Partners to ensure that distribution guidelines are followed during distribution
- Ensure that key messages are shared with beneficiaries, the right food rations/cash is distributed
- Weekly On site monitoring and reporting on the progress of VFW/FFA activities, progress and challenges.
- Other duties allocated by the Supervisor in the department which may include:
- Generate distribution plans as may be required for Food or GIK requests and follow up all the necessary approvals.
- Support distribution of Food, NFI and Gifts In Kind items
- Support monthly stock taking
- Any other as may be assigned by your Supervisor/Manager.

- Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as negotiation skills
- Must adhere to set security standards
- Ensure a gender perspective in the scope of work
- Perform other duties as required.
Educational Background:
Diploma in Community development / Developmental studies / Business Administration / Economics / Information technology or any other related field.
Skills/Experience:
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
- Must demonstrate training in Commodities management, logistics handling and accountability.
- Ability to conduct document review and reconcile commodity reports.
- Ability to use food data bases and commodities managements.
- Very good communication and writing skills.
- Past experience working with in stores/logistics would be an added advantage.
- Very organized and good at filing systems.
- Experience in similar position preferred.
