The Associate Director, Strategic Foundation Partnerships (SFP) will cultivate and steward strategic, long-term partnerships and mobilize resources from foundations to fund breakthrough programs that achieve immediate and lasting change for children. In addition to managing a core group of key foundation donors, the Associate Director will play a pivotal role in helping the SFP team raise new gifts for the agency’s Centennial Campaign.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead team effort for Centennial Campaign giving from new and existing foundation prospects. (40%)
- Raise revenue from existing and new donors by identifying prospects and developing strategies to seek support for the Centennial Campaign.
- Liaise with other Resource Development teams, program staff, finance and marketing to advance Centennial Campaign gifts.
- Stay informed of all Centennial Campaign offerings.
- Assist in strategic thinking and target setting for SFP Centennial Campaign goals.
- Coordinate with SFP staff and their potential Centennial Campaign donors.
- Coordinate with Save the Children US Centennial Campaign team.
- Identify new SFP Centennial Campaign donors; Liaise with Save the Children US researchers.
- Keep senior management in Resource Development informed of SFP Centennial Campaign progress.
- Coordinate with Save the Children movement centenary leadership teams as needed.
- Independently manage foundation relationships. (40%)
- Raise revenue from existing and new donors by identifying prospects and developing strategies to seek support for Save the Children’s programs.
- Provide quality management of existing grants and commitments from current foundation donors.
- Perform special projects and represent the foundations team on topics related to the strategic efforts of the unit. Perform other duties as may be required. (10%)

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree
Skills/Experience:
- A minimum 5-7 years of fundraising and account management experience
- Demonstrated success in developing and presenting proposals for funding
- Proven ability to approach senior level foundation staff and manage site visits to programs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with senior members of the organization on fundraising activities
- Proven project management skills and expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate independently and as a team member
- Strong PC skills, including effective use of the internet and the ability to communicate effectively electronically
