The Coordinator, Donor Services and Annual Giving is an integral member of the Partnerships team, serving as one of the primary points of contact for donors, NGS staff, and NGP staff interfacing with Partnerships.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Leads donor fulfillment for the Annual Giving programs. Responsible for fulfillment of personalized acknowledgments, personalized communications, and other bulk correspondence to donors. Supports specialized in-house solicitation and stewardship mailings. Responsible for fulfilling all benefits associated with the Grosvenor Council, including monthly mailings of GC welcome packets and membership cards. This will involve coordinating stewardship and cultivation communications for various donor constituencies and the tracking of donor benefits. Responsible for fulfilling all premiums offered through fundraising campaigns. Assembles and sends individual Grosvenor Council proposal packets as requested. Ensures accurate data entry and record keeping in Raiser’s Edge for all actions listed above. (50%)
- Responsible for customer service and assists. Main point of contact for general donor mail and email correspondence and phone calls and manages departmental voice mail. Provides superior customer service and handles all Annual Giving inquiries and ensures major donor, planned giving, event, and other non-AG inquiries are routed to the appropriate manager. Manages [email protected] and other assigned mailboxes. Responds to all inquiries in a timely fashion. Coordinates logistics of Annual Giving donor visits/tours of NGS headquarters. Ensures accurate data entry and record keeping in Raiser’s Edge for all actions listed above. (40%)
- Opens and sorts mail daily; logs checks for gift processing in accordance with departmental procedures and industry best practices to ensure 100% accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality. (5%)
- Provides administrative support to the Annual Giving team as needed. (5%)
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Skills/Experience:
Minimum Years and Type of Experience
- 2+ years professional work experience; past Development experience preferred. Customer service, direct marketing and development experience preferred.
Knowledge and skills required
- Ability to communicate professionally with donors, the general public, and NGS staff required. Superior telephone, email communication, and people skills. Demonstrated ability to write effectively for business communication purposes. Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality required. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to exercise good judgment and work with minimum of instruction and supervision when necessary. Advanced and accurate word processing and spreadsheet capabilities required (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.) Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge or other database system strongly preferred. Ability to work as a team player and willingness to learn new skills to help advance NGS’s fundraising efforts.
