Senior Project Manager for Youth Leadership and Livelihood Dev

The overall purpose of this position is to lead project staff from different experiences and different locations toward achieving project goal within timeframe agreed with donor.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Take full responsibility for getting all the various stakeholders to work effectively together to deliver the project on time, within budget and with outputs of good quality.
  • Ensuring that a project is executed in line with the agreed time frame, and budget
  • Ensuring that a project outputs are delivered in line with quantitative and qualitative expectations as outlined in the project documentation.
  • Ensuring that project reporting (both financial and narrative) is delivered in good time and with high quality.
  • Uncorrectable slippages in relation to timeline, budget or quantitative outputs that necessitate changes to the project plan are always subject to a project variation.
  • Ensuring cash-flow from the client through to all the relevant stakeholders in a timely and effective manner, so that project progress against plan can be maintained.
  • Representation, Networking and Relationship Building
Educational Background: 
Degree in a development-related field and/or management studies.
Skills/Experience: 

As part of the World Vision International-Cambodia mandate requirements for new staff, all candidates who are offered job are required to produce Local Police Clearance Certificate prior to date of joining in the organisation.

  • At least 3 years experience working in a relief or development or local community context
  • Leadership experience of a youth-focused programme
  • Knowledge of Youth empowerment approaches and tools
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and to work gracefully under pressure
  • Proficient in the use of Information Technology, digital media (photographs, video, blogs) and social media applications in a youth empowerment context
