Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Habitat Young Leaders Build (HYLB) Consultant position. The HYLB Leadership Academy Consultant for India and Nepal will support the national team in the implementation of the leadership training program and training of country trainers.

The primary role is to assist Habitat for Humanity Nepal and India in the roll-out of the leadership training program as educator and mentor to the country trainers; resource expert in training module development and training monitoring and evaluation; and adviser in the national leadership academy strategy formulation and implementation. This position will be based in Dehli, India.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Leadership Academy Strategic Plan and Activities

  • Support the country Leadership Academy coordinators in strategizing/ planning training activities to meet the national target
  • Guide the country teams in the implementation of identified plans and activities
  • Help identify local/international partnership opportunities for the program

Training of Country Trainers

  • Train and mentor Country Master Trainers & Country Trainers of HFH India and Nepal
  • Conduct at least 8 Country Master Training sessions and support successful execution of 10 country training session
  • Help facilitate HYLB Leadership Academy community of practice (discussion forums, trainer calls, etc

Monitor and Evaluate Program Data

  • Help develop data collection and tracking tools to standardize training information
  • Support India and Nepal on proper usage of data collection and tracking tools
  • Ensure collection, review, and reporting of leadership academy data for regular reporting
  • Help develop monitoring and evaluation tools for TTT & 2-day training program

Module Development and Training Assessment

  • Support the national team in planning and implementation of HYLB 2018 strategy and programs
  • Facilitate and conduct module review and upgradation in India and Nepal based on training assessments and new module materials developed by CCL
  • Ensure quality training standard and integrity of module content in India and Nepal including review of translated modules and materials 
  • Participate in the regional review of training program in cooperation with CCL and implementing countries
Educational Background: 
Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree in education, communication or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • At least 5-7 years progressive experience in the field of education, training and/or youth engagement
  • Advance public speaking and presentation skills
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
