About Us
Mission:

The mission of SCGA Junior is to engage under-served youth in the lifelong benefits of golf so that they can achieve their dreams and potential. Through its programs, SCGA Junior works to fulfill its mission by achieving the following goals:
-Creating affordable access to golf for all youth
-Teaching smart decision-making skills both on and off the course
-Developing a culture of healthy lifestyles

Programs:

While initially a passive foundation to support charitable activities related to golf, SGCA Junior has been very active since 2008 in creating affordable golf access for Southern California juniors through the SGCA Junior Golf Club. SCGA Junior Golf Club members receive $1-$5 green and range fees at more than 150 facilities in the Southland, an official SCGA/USGA handicap index as well as the opportunity to further engage with the game of golf on and off the course through special playing opportunities and educational outings.

For those who are new to the game or are simply looking to improve their golf skills, SCGA Junior offers an Instructional Program with practices held year round and monthly club outings throughout Southern California.

Active members are also eligible for the SCGA Junior Scholarship Program, which is designed to help juniors further their education and has awarded more than $755,000 in college scholarships since 2008.
