About Us
Mission:

The Ohio Justice & Policy Center creates fair, intelligent, and redemptive criminal justice systems through zealous client-centered advocacy, innovative policy reform, and cross-sector community education. We focus our energies primarily on reducing the size of the prison system, improving conditions for those inside prison, and expanding the freedom of people with criminal records to fully contribute to their communities. We are a non-profit law office founded in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1997, and our work is statewide.

Why Work For Us?:

OJPC is at the cutting edge of criminal justice policy reform, not only for the State of Ohio but for the nation.  We are pushing reforms in safely reducing the size of our prison population;  challenging the roots of mass incarceration;  and tackling reforms to our state's justice system at all stages, from input to exit.  We take on precedent-setting cases to improve the lives of incarcerated persons.  We provide concrete means to more fully reintegrate upon release from prison.  And we are improving the manner in which victims of human / sexual trafficking are seen and treated by professionals within our health care, police and justice system.
