MHP's work is focused in four main areas: Community, Rental Development, Home Ownership, and Data & Policy.

MHP is a privately-funded public organization that works in concert with the governor, legislature and state housing organizations to find new solutions to increase the supply of affordable housing in Massachusetts.

MHP provides long-term financing for affordable rental housing development; it provides early guidance, technical assistance and financial support to communities trying to increase their supply of affordable housing; and it provides home ownership opportunities for first-time home buyers through its ONE Mortgage Program.
