About Us
Mission:

KINS - Kiwengwa Independent School, is a private, non-profit, parent governed school on the east coast of Zanzibar. Our students are between 2 and 12 years old and come from many different backgrounds and cultures.

Programs:

We have created a school environment at KINS that is safe and secure. Our grassy outdoor space includes a well-equipped playground and sand pit ideal for gross motor and sensory development. Our indoor classrooms proudly display student work and learning aids providing a space for focused play and academic study.

Our approach to learning is designed to foster a child’s growth through a variety of stimulating and creative activities that address reading, writing, and mathematics, build social skills, and encourage an independent sensibility.

The well-qualified and experienced teachers at KINS believe in not only imparting knowledge to pupils, but also shaping their overall personality by building self-confidence and giving them a strong base to prepare for the future
