About Us
Mission:

Homestead Community Land Trust preserves and advances access to permanently affordable homeownership as a means to create equitable and inclusive communities. We provide King County-area residents who keep our community vital -- including mail carriers, police officers, grocery clerks, social workers and teachers -- the opportunity to gain stability for their families, safely accrue equity, and put down roots in their communities. Putting homeownership within reach of those who have been denied the American dream by discrimination is a key aspect of our work, as is working alongside communities at risk of displacement to help them increase permanently affordable housing options in their neighborhoods.

Programs:

We build and preserve homes affordable to those who earn less than 80% of area median income. From pre-purchase counseling, homebuyer readiness, down payment assistance, support through the purchase closing process, to ongoing support and stewardship post-purchase Homestead supports long-term homeowner success. Our pre-purchase support services reach 300 prospective homebuyers per year. Homestead currently stewards a portfolio of over 200 high-quality, affordable, owner-occupied homes. We have three new housing projects in development in Seattle, Tukwila and Renton.

Why Work For Us?:

We offer a collaborative working environment with ample opportunity for professional growth. Our smart, innovative staff is providing a proven solution to the affordable housing crisis in King County, and is doing important social justice work with vulnerable neighborhoods and communities.  This position is ideal for the person who wants an opportunity to advance to higher levels of experience and responsibility.
