About Us
Mission:

Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites brings Bethlehem's history to life by preserving historic sites; collecting, conserving, and exhibiting our historic and artistic objects; understanding and acknowledging the diverse populations that contribute to our history; and conveying our history to the public in an engaging manner.

Programs:

Historic Bethlehem Museums & Sites, Inc. maintains 20 historic structures on 20+ acres of land with six gardens and an orchard. It operates two museums, the Kemerer Museum of Decorative Arts and the Moravian Museum, and has over 60,000 objects in its collections. It provides eight walking tours as well as the Heritage Trail, an 80-site hiking, running and biking audio tour accessible via smartphone, to the public.  Our education programs include field trips, tours and summer camps as well as blacksmithing classes for adults. In addition, we host community activities including a Turkey Trot as well as Blueberry Festival and Apple Days, which invite people to learn more about colonial farm life.

Why Work For Us?:

HBMS is at a pivotal and exciting point in our organization’s history. In February, the U.S. Department of the Interior submitted Historic Moravian Bethlehem as its first multi-national nomination to the World Heritage List. This is both a tremendous honor and the culmination of over twenty years of work within HBMS, our partner organizations, and the community. We anticipate the next few years will be filled with opportunities and growth.
