Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the oldest and largest youth mentoring program in the United States. BBBS started over a century ago to match caring adult volunteers with children in one-to-one mentoring relationships.
Today, there are 238 Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in over 5,000 communities across the United States. More than 275,000 mentors volunteer their time as Bigs and we made over 135,000 new mentoring matches last year alone.
Our chapter, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester & Putnam, was established in 1958. We currently serve hundreds of children throughout New York’s Westchester and Putnam counties through community-based and school-based mentoring programs.
