Position Summary:
Our client is seeking an Executive Director for non-Profit Foundation. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach.

 

 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership and Management:
    • Lead the organization in a manner that supports and guides its mission as defined
    • Communicate effectively, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and make informed decisions.
    • Oversee the organization’s operations, including program development and implementation, financial management, and staff supervision.
  2. Financial Performance and Viability:
    • Develop resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.
    • Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the organization, including submission to the Board of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization.
    • Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintains the organization in a positive financial position.
  3. Organization Mission and Strategy:
    • Work with the Board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning, and community outreach.
    • Implement the strategic plan to ensure that the organization can successfully fulfill its mission into the future.
    • Enhance the organization’s public image to expand interest and support.
  4. Fundraising and Development:
    • Oversee fundraising planning and implementation, including identifying resource requirements, researching funding sources, establishing strategies to approach funders, submitting proposals, and administering fundraising records and documentation.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with major donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors.
  5. Community and Public Relations:
    • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance the organization’s Mission.
    • Engage in public speaking and media relations to promote the organization’s mission and programs
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree preferred
Skills/Experience: 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior nonprofit management experience, Parachurch preferred
  • Transparent and high-integrity leadership.
  • Solid, hands-on, budget management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision-making, and reporting.
  • Strong organizational abilities, including planning, delegating, program development, and task facilitation.
  • Ability to convey a vision of the organization’s strategic future to staff, board, volunteers, and donors.
  • Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations unique to the nonprofit sector.
  • Skills to collaborate with and motivate board members and other volunteers.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to interface and engage diverse volunteer and donor groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and collaborate with staff.
  • Strong public speaking ability.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Annual Salary : $100,000 -$150,000
