The Digital Technology Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer and will be a thought leader in digital content enablement with a strong record of transforming technology, process and people to scale digital content across consumer touchpoints

Areas of Responsibility: 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Lead the strategic, tactical planning and execution of an enterprise-wide digital publishing management transformation
  2. Build the roadmap for a modern content management, user data management and business logic connected infrastructure
  3. Establish the process and structure to allow for sustained delivery of content for personalization
  4. Manage development and outside vendors for building and maintaining the organization sites, distribution, and infrastructure
  5. Use technology and data to scale experiences and process to manage reliability
  6. Problem solve for customers and user groups
  7. Utilize forward thinking in building the best content management instance and doing everything to build towards that
  8. Partner with CPM Production Manager, while managing internal and external development support to determine technical feasibility, dependencies and opportunities/constraints of features
  9. Hire and develop people to build a culture of innovative thinking and enthusiasm for the “better” solution
  10. Communicate to an audience on the “art of the possible” and build collaborative roadmaps

Educational Background: 
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business or other quantitative discipline
Skills/Experience: 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business or other quantitative discipline or  equivalent work experience required
  2. 10 years of experience in digital platform development and operations, solution design and implementation and digital marketing.
  3. 5 years of responsible management or supervisory experience, experience in a leadership role required; must have proven track record of building high performing teams
  4. Proven experience having demonstrated results and delivery in digital content management including management of content technologies, workflows, architecture and operations.
  5. Experience leading transformation for enterprise level Digital Asset Management and Content Management platforms
  6. Practitioner of agile delivery methodologies
  7. Strong understanding of deployment of content for personalization

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Ability to view data on a computer screen for long periods of time
  2. Ability to regularly type on a keyboard
  3. Ability to work some evenings, weekends, holidays as needed
  4. Exhibit an understanding of public media mission and values
