Development Director level with at least 3 years in that position at an arts institution required, with at least 10 years development experience, and a proven track record of successful fundraising, with proven track record in individual giving and a strong writing background. Experience in Endowment and Capital campaigns a plus. Advanced PatronManager skills strongly preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience.
The Director of Development will lead the expansion of the donor base to support the growth and engagement of Bay Street’s community, and the future reality of a new building, housing, and possible campus. S/he will create and implement an annual development budget for cultivating new and existing donors, and will oversee fundraising through individuals, major gifts, foundations, grants and corporations. With the support of the Development Mgr, s/he must oversee Patron and membership campaigns, coordinate all mailings and solicitations, as well as major fundraising events. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in attracting major gifts and liaising with board of trustees. The position will report directly to Executive Director Tracy Mitchell. In partnership with Executive Director, will serve as the lead point of contact for major donors, both current and prospective.
Must be located in the Hamptons full-time in the Summer with part-time hours on-site in the off-season. Housing provided.
