VICTIM RIGHTS ATTORNEYS (2) FOR VICTIMS OF INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE

The position entails providing victims of intimate partner violence with access to legal representation to assert and seek enforcement of their civil rights in criminal cases, including appellate proceedings.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, Inc. is looking for two (2) hardworking, compassionate Attorneys for a new project providing victims of intimate partner violence with access to legal representation to assert and seek enforcement of their civil rights in criminal cases, including appellate proceedings.  Criminal law experience is preferred for the entry level position and required for the second position.  Florida Bar membership required. 

The Attorneys will also conduct outreach and trainings throughout the community. The Attorneys will become skilled regarding the applicable laws and dynamics of intimate partner violence. The Attorneys must comply with all program requirements, including efficient case management, completion of timely grant reports and all mandated trainings. Bilingual (Spanish/English/Creole) preferred.  EOE. Email resume to [email protected].

Educational Background: 
Attorney in good standing and licensed in Florida
Skills/Experience: 

Florida Bar membership required. 

Criminal law experience preferred for entry-level position and required for the second position.

Bilingual (Spanish/English and/or Creole/English) preferred.
