Boyden is proud to be partnering with the leadership of American Society for University (ASUH) of Haifa and the University of Haifa to recruit the next Vice President of Operations for ASUH. American Society for University of Haifa (ASUH)’s mission is to increase awareness and financial support for University of Haifa in Israel and to ensure its continued excellence in teaching, research, and community service.
ASUH cultivates relationships and serves as a vital connection between the University and its friends, supporters, alumni, and partner institutions in the U.S. With a national office in New York City and a regional office in Los Angeles, ASUH currently raises $12-13M per year.
ASUH is seeking a Vice President of Operations who will oversee Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, manage all administrative support and liaise with UH. Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President, Operations will serve as a strategic leader for ASUH and will work closely with the CEO to support effective fundraising and operational activities. The successful candidate will be agile, and both a strategist and a process-driven tactician, working across departments to support the success of the team in their fundraising efforts and providing expertise in managing complex philanthropic transactions.
The VP of Operations will be a seasoned and accomplished manager, with expertise in accounting and fiscal management. The incumbent will collaborate and support team members across the U.S. and University of Haifa staff in Israel and around the world. Driven by the mission and core values of ASUH and University of Haifa, the VP of Operations will play a key role in the expansion of ASUH and will help to drive the culture of a small and growing team.
This position will likely be based in New York City, with some flexibility for other urban areas. The VP of Operations will be in the office at least twice a week and may work remotely the balance of the week.
Key Qualifications
- Five or more years of management experience; non-profit experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of all areas related to operations, including finance, human resources, administration, and technology.
- Knowledge and understanding of non-profit fundraising preferred.
- Experience with donor management database systems; knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
- A proven track record of strategic decision-making through a combination of analysis, experience, and judgment.
- Demonstrated skills in problem solving, project management, and creative resourcefulness.
- Advanced leadership and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Position Details
- Salary Range: $175,000 – 200,000, depending on experience, and generous benefits.
- Employment Type: Full time, exempt.
- Reporting to: CEO
- Must be able to work occasional evenings, weekends, or irregular hours as necessary and attend relevant meetings and events.
