We have an opening for a talented, experienced strategist and programme manager in support of a small team in Tokyo to develop, implement and coordinate our campaign program and movement building efforts in Japan for a fossil free world.
350.org’s strategy in Japan is focused on generating pressure on financial actors to stop investment in coal and institute sustainable financing policies. We do this through working with our partners; building a strong network of volunteers and ensuring strong online/ offline communications to challenge fossil fuel financing in the country.
We seek a team leader to work with our team and volunteer groups in Japan and staff around the world. This role will comprise a firm combination of consultative strategic leadership with hands-on implementation, team leadership and operations management.
- The ideal candidate will be experienced in campaigning, advocacy or strategy and be a great leader of people with a supportive, empowering management style.
- She or he will have business level English and Japanese.
- We are ideally looking for someone with demonstrated experience in developing, planning, implementing and coordinating creative campaigns to get results.
