Assistant Vice President of Family Foster Care

The Assistant VP of Family Foster Care supports the goals of the agency as well as provides supervision and coordination of staff supervisors and assumes administrative coverage in the absence of the Senior VP of Children and Family Services.

Essential Duties: 

Provide administrative coverage of FFC Program in absence of the Senior VP of Children and Family Services.
Possess a high level of permanency planning experience to assist Unit Supervisor’s decrease children’s length of stay in foster care.
Direct supervision and coordination of Unit Supervisors and specific staff within the FFC and TFFC programs.
Assure Unit achievement of all ACS and OCFS targets
Conduct regular staff evaluations to provide constructive feedback and if necessary to address performance issues
Collect and analyze data and information to prepare reports, request for grants, RFPs and other special projects.
Ability to work under pressure and respond to unforeseen circumstances
Keep abreast of current trends and practice models in Child Welfare.
Represent the program at ACS, OCFS and Agency Administrative Meetings.
Provide backup coverage on FFC & TFFC cell phone rotation.
Able to work flexible hours including evenings and scheduled weekends.
Ability to develop and maintain connections with community- based programs that can provide services to children/families during and after discharge.
Self-motivated team player who is positive, friendly and outgoing with a sense of humor.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Connections, LTS and ACS Intranet is required.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Assistant VP of Family Foster Care oversees and coordinates all aspects of the Therapeutic Family Foster Care program, including supervision and management of the program, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and oversight over casework decisions.

Educational Background: 
Master Degree in Social Work (MSW or LCSW) or equivalent degree in psychology, sociology or the relevant behavioral science. LMSW Required
Skills/Experience: 

Five years of Supervisory experience working in foster care.

Compensation/Benefits: 

The annual salary has a range of $70,000-$75,000.00.
