Areas of Responsibility: 

Family ReEntry is looking for candidates who will be responsible for group facilitation in our domestic violence programs through court referrals. As a Group Facilitator you will complete and maintain accurate records and reports regarding the clients’ progress, services provided, and other required information. Work collaboratively with other treatment providers and other staff/programs. Attend supervision and trainings as necessary per program requirements and contractual obligations. Some evening or weekend hours will be required. 

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice, CACD, or a closely related field; or be working towards a degree (Master’s preferred). Bachelor’s level applicants must possess a minimum of three years of experience working in the field of
Skills/Experience: 

Group leadership/facilitation experience and ability to collaborate with co-facilitator and other staff and personnel are required. Knowledge of CT criminal justice system and area programs and resources, and working relationships with area providers are all desirable. Strong written and verbal skills in English. Must be able to speak Spanish fluently. Must possess excellent computer skills in all Microsoft office programs and have database experience.

Family ReEntry SM began in 1984, as a reentry support group for men at the Isaiah House in Bridgeport and has since grown to include intervention, reentry, and family and children programs. Over the past thirty-two years, effective community-based programs developed by Family ReEntry, have significantly reduced the likelihood that clients will re-offend, be re-arrested, or be re-incarcerated. Our programs comprise three integrated sectors: Prevention, Intervention, and Reentry, providing a spectrum of services designed to help break the cycle of incarceration. FRE addresses the specific needs of each client and their families through individualized case management and support services. It works to create a positive social network for each client, towards helping to make their transition from prison back into the community a successful one and helping them towards a road of self-sufficiency, while strengthening their families and the community. FRE’s programs include: Domestic Violence Treatment and Education, Community Reentry, Mentoring Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs.
