The Tri-Lakes YMCA is hiring a Family Engagement Director to provide leadership and supervision of the childwatch, youth programs, and family events according to the policies of the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Scheduled 10-15 hours in Child Watch ratio.
  • Create, implement, and provide direct leadership to the following programs and services: Childwatch, Kid’s Club, Kids Zone, youth programs, and family events.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all staff for designated program areas according to association policies.
  • Ensure staff certifications are current.
  • Complete and post monthly staff schedules along with bi-weekly payroll management.
  • Order and maintain all supplies
  • Develop and monitors program budgets to meet fiscal objectives
  • Complete scheduled shifts and fill in as needed
  • Insure that all policies are evaluated and enforced and tasks delegated as needed.
  • Attend all required trainings and staff meetings.
  • Participate as a staff team leader in the YMCA annual support campaign.
  • Respond to all questions and concerns brought forth by staff and members.
  • Assist in the constant evaluation of all procedures, systems and services.
  • Communicate with parents in all program areas.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field with minimum of 6 months FT experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Experience with children ranging in age from infancy to teens
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Program development and leadership skills
  • Strong public relations and communication skills
  • CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, Oxygen, First Aid certified (training available upon hiring)
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $34,410.00 - $36,500.00
