The Digital Marketing Coordinator is an integral part of the Digital Engagement team responsible for supporting overall digital marketing objectives and implementing a suite of new digital technologies across the organization. The Digital Engagement team is seeking a collaborative team player who is excited about leveraging digital strategies and technology to support TNC’s mission to conserve the lands and waters on which all life depends.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will support the Digital Engagement team on the implementation of global digital strategies including—but not limited to—website development, content management, social media monitoring, digital engagement marketing campaigns, and system implementation. S/he will coordinate digital change requests, social media monitoring, team meetings and retreats, system access, team reports, contract renewal and payments, and other related digital activities. S/he will manage and implement digital projects/initiatives and manage project resources proactively. S/he will work closely with various constituents such as department staff, field offices, program consultants and vendors to manage all phases of digital projects. S/he may work within budgets to minimize expenses, maximize revenue, and meet quality control standards. S/he may use software systems to track and analyze program results, report findings, and works with senior marketing managers to implement strategic recommendations.
The Coordinator will take on additional duties to enhance the work of the team, including, but not limited to, social media monitoring, managing digital inquiries by staff, enhancing the systems and tools used by the team, managing contracts, invoices and payments. S/he helps develop key messages and talking points, as needed. S/he may support the development of digital marketing materials including but not limited to web articles, and social media posts, as needed. S/he will develop and foster relationships with internal and external partners and serve as a liaison between the Digital Engagement team and the rest of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Organize, manage, and coordinate diverse digital projects and activities with many variables.
- Coordinate with business units and field staff to support digital initiatives across the organization.
- Manage team meetings, retreats, vendor contracts, and system tools.
- Does not supervise any staff but will coordinate the work of peers on departmental project teams. May supervise volunteers, interns or temporary staff.
- Works within a budget to complete a project.
- Duties are performed under general supervision and established guidelines.
- Opportunity to act independently on assigned tasks and projects. May have full opportunity to direct individual projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships.
- Experience writing, editing and proofreading.
- Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated understanding of digital tools and technologies.
- Familiarity with social media, web cms platforms and analytics.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with digital communication technologies and best practices.
- Experience with contract and vendor management.
- Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in digital.
- Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
- Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
- Knowledge and application of current and evolving trends in marketing.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with internal and external partners.
- Demonstrated ability to conceive and write creatively for various audiences from technical information.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant technology skills required to prepare presentations and analyze data to construct reports.
- Practical knowledge of marketing and branding principles.
