For over one hundred years, SAR has facilitated intellectual inquiry and human understanding. Today the organization accomplishes this through residencies and seminars for scholars, and fellowship programs for Native artists. The organization is also home to the Indian Arts Research Center (IARC), a leader in community-advised and collaborative Indigenous arts engagement and collections management.
SAR offers a range of public programs and welcomes visitors to the historic campus which sits on the ancestral lands of the Tewa people in O’gah’poh geh Owingeh or Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Since 1908, SAR Press, has been promoting the work of important researchers through publications.
