The Coordinator of Lifeguard and Safety assists in the daily direction of Aquatic programing with a focus on lifeguard management and certifications. The incumbent assists the Program Manager in meeting established branch quality and participation goals.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Assists in the daily direction of Aquatic programing.
- Ensures the delivery of programing and services meets quality standards.
- Ensures a high level of customer service which enhances the member, guest and program participant experience and satisfaction.
- Provides work direction to staff when appropriate.
- Assists in the implementation of programs, assess staff technical abilities to achieve desired goals and objectives within the department.
Skills/Experience:
Required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in Aquatic programs
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to obtain a nationally accredited lifeguard, CPR/PR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications within 30 days of hire
- Ability to deliver designated Aquatic program area
- Ability to manage and deliver programs to a diverse population
Preferred
- Current Lifeguard Instructor Certification
