The Coordinator of Lifeguard and Safety assists in the daily direction of Aquatic programing with a focus on lifeguard management and certifications.  The incumbent assists the Program Manager in meeting established branch quality and participation goals.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assists in the daily direction of Aquatic programing.
  • Ensures the delivery of programing and services meets quality standards.
  • Ensures a high level of customer service which enhances the member, guest and program participant experience and satisfaction.
  • Provides work direction to staff when appropriate.
  • Assists in the implementation of programs, assess staff technical abilities to achieve desired goals and objectives within the department.
Skills/Experience: 

Required

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in Aquatic programs
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to obtain a nationally accredited lifeguard, CPR/PR, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen certifications within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to deliver designated Aquatic program area
  • Ability to manage and deliver programs to a diverse population

Preferred

  • Current Lifeguard Instructor Certification
