Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of TL Programs and TEAMWorks, the TL Lead Program/TEAMWorks Director is responsible for the planning, implementation, provision and evaluation of guest programs. He/She is responsible for budget, programs, and other duties as deemed appropriate and or necessary.He/She will model, practice and carry out the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility in all aspects of the position.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supervise, train and schedule the Trout Lodge Program and TEAMWorks Staff. Assist the Director of Trout Lodge Program/TEAMWorks Director with the recruiting, hiring, training and supervision of the Lead Program and TEAMWorks Specialist’s, Seasonal Trout Lodge Program and TEAMWorks staff, Seasonal Trout Lodge international Staff and intern(s).
  • Responsible for the preparation and implementation of the annual income and expense budget for Trout Lodge Programs and TEAMWorks.
  • Administers the approved budget, exercising necessary controls at assure compliance with Branch and Association guidelines for spending, reporting and bill paying.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of Trout Lodge Family Weekend, Spring Break, Summer Programs and Soccer Program, including, but not limited to, staff schedules, guest schedules, marketing schedules deadlines, and staff training.
  • Responsible for the purchase, inventory, upkeep and replacement of Trout Lodge Program Equipment in accordance with Branch and Association guidelines.
  • Submit required Service Schedules by appropriate deadline and attend Service Schedule meetings as required.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly Service Schedule, Director’s meeting and Program/TEAMWorks meetings.
  • Attend committee meetings (Programing, Occupancy, Branch Initiative, United Way, etc) as assigned by the Director of Programs.
  • Works with the marketing department to ensure that all flyers for any events are visible to guests are up to the standards of all YMCA of the Ozarks marketing.
  • Oversee and facilitate evening programs at Trout Lodge.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for Trout Lodge programs.
  • Enhances overall service given to all Trout Lodge and Camp Lakewood guests.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with support services departments including Group Sales, Triangle Y Ranch, Maintenance, Food Service and Housekeeping to provide for the comfort and safety of Trout Lodge guests.
  • Provides the maintenance department with timely information pertaining to the upkeep, maintenance and operation of assigned Program and TEAMWorks areas and related equipment.
  • Reports damaged or lost Program and TEAMWorks equipment in an appropriate and timely manner to the Director of TL Programs and TEAMWorks.
  • Participates in the implementation of YMCA management systems as they apply to World Service Drives, United Way Drives, Capital and Partner Campaigns.
  • Supports marketing efforts in cooperation with the Director of Marketing and Director of Group Sales, to promote Program and TEAMWorks participation and the use of the YMCA of the Ozarks by new conference, day and specialty groups.
  • Participates in continuing training for Programs and TEAMWorks staff when offered and consistently works to add new and exciting programming to the Trout Lodge Program and TEAMWorks Department.
  • Performs other job related tasks as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and/or Tourism, Sports Management, Recreation, Park Management or a related field preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous experience in camp, resort or outdoor skills programming.  Management experience with a strong working knowledge of computers and budget management. Human relation, organizational, creativity, programming and problem-solving skills preferred
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $28,000.00 - $35,200.00
