Organize, plan, and direct the programs and services of the Alzheimer's Association, Georgia Chapter, North GA Service Area. Monitor and evaluate program activities to ensure best practices are utilized and strategic plans are fully executed in the community to achieve strategic plan goals. Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to program volunteers. Measureable outcomes include increased utilization of Chapter services, increased referrals from healthcare, consistently high quality delivery of service, increased chapter engagement in research participation, volunteerism and diverse communities. This position is located in Dalton GA with travel in the 21 county North Georgia area.
- Develop and implement agreed-upon mutual goals with the Program Director Lead in order to meet the care and support and research pillars of the strategic plan.
- Manage the planning, delivery, tracking and evaluation of all care and support services.
- Engage (recruit, train, coach, and supervise) volunteers in order to increase the reach of care and support services through volunteer-powered delivery.
- Implement a system-based intervention strategy for health systems to increase diagnosis and access to quality care.
- Ensure compliance with all Association policies, procedures, standards. • Meet service area goals for accelerating research.
- Develop community partnerships and collaborations for increasing the number of persons served through programs and services.
- Plan and deliver core programs/services to ensure strategic impact of the Association's mission.
- Utilize strategic initiatives for increasing the number of persons served through web-based educational programs.
- Manage program grants, including compliance and reporting
- Market care and support services.
- Increase concern and awareness initiatives in collaboration with the senior director of communications.
- Support Association events such as the Walk to End Alzheimer's.
- Support advocacy efforts, including the annual Alzheimer's Day at the Capitol.
- Assist with local office operations
- 3+ years' experience in volunteer management preferred • Experience in geriatric or dementia care preferred
Knowledge
- Basic community mobilization, volunteer engagement practices and techniques
- Fundamentals of management and monitoring of budget
- Grant management
- Experience in gerontology, social work, or a related field
Skills
- Demonstrated experience, skills or aptitude in program delivery
- Effective oral communications including conducting presentations to large and small groups
- Effective written communications, including business writing, clear and concise narrative reports and evaluations
- PC and computer equipment including word processing, accounting, database management, spreadsheets and software applications
- Effective administrative skills
