Under the direction of the Director of Recruiting and Training and a dotted line reporting relationship with the Branch Executive Director, the HR Coordinator II is responsible for the coordination and administration of various human resources related responsibilities. This is a full time, exempt position that is scheduled according to the operational needs of the organization, but generally requires business hours Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Performs all duties necessary to manage the effective recruitment and paperwork completion for new hires and rehires.
- Supports the Hiring Directors with posting job openings, sourcing candidates and reference checking.
- Supports the branch director team with employee engagement initiatives and the resolution of employee relations issues.
- Conducts New Employee Orientation training and ensures all required new hire trainings are scheduled, held and attended on a monthly basis.
- Acts as the point person in regards to tracking the completion of trainings.
- Leads efforts to address benefits related questions.
- Generates various human resources reports.
- Represents the branch on the Risk Management and Safety committees as well as the HR experience team. Communicates decisions and implements new processes as appropriate.
- Manages additional branch and/or association-wide HR functions and projects, as needed.
- Mentors, trains, coaches, supervises, and/or supports other administrative staff, as needed.
Educational Background:
High school diploma/GED and a minimum of 5 years office experience required.
Associates degree or equivalent and/or HR-related certification/coursework preferred.
Skills/Experience:
- 3 years prior human resources experience required, 5 years preferred.
- Proficient in all standard business software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively balance multiple, competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently, demonstrate good judgement, effectively problem solve and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Display a positive and professional attitude and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be a team player in the organization.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $37,000.00 - $40,000.00
