The Strategy Lead works closely with senior management to advance the Foundation’s strategic agenda, manage large/multiple projects, and drive mission-critical initiatives. Bringing expertise in advanced problem-solving, analysis, stakeholder management, and communication, the Strategy Lead will build tools and develop recommendations to support colleagues in making decisions that best support people with cystic fibrosis.

Areas of Responsibility: 

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the development of the five-year organization-wide strategy.
  • Lead and support specific high-priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives (including project design, research and analytics, stakeholder management, deliverables, and presentations to senior management and the Board).
  • Focus on initiatives to advance analytical capabilities such as building an organizational dashboard, modeling our long-term financial strategy, and maturing approaches to program evaluation.
  • Develop compelling recommendations based on understanding of diverse stakeholders, including people with CF, caregivers, care team members, researchers, and CF Foundation staff.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Partner with and advise senior management on topics such relevant to their own functional areas (e.g., strategy, organization design, resource allocation and planning, etc.) on request.
  • Maintain strong understanding of the external environment to guide strategy and initiatives (informed by primary and secondary research).
  • Help to continually improve the annual planning process, risk management, and strategy execution.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree in a relevant field preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a strategic consulting function.
  • Strong quantitative and modeling skills with ability to distill complex information to intuitive graphs, tables and other visuals. Proficiency with market research a plus.
  • Excellent software skills (MS Office). Database and/or data visualization (Tableau) experience preferred.
  • Experience with strategy design, execution and tracking.
  • Excellent organizational skills; demonstrated ability to lead work groups through tasks.
  • Self-starter; demonstrated ability to lead projects independently.
  • Strong oral, facilitation, and written communication skills.
  • Creative problem-solver. Places emphasis on using data to drive decision making.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Commitment to the Foundation’s mission.
