The Human Resources team is searching for a Human Resources Analyst to work in our New York office. The successful candidate has proven experience turning unquantified data and processes into metrics, measurements, and graphics-based reports that support the Human Resources aspects of an organization. The HR Analyst will develop dashboards and provide data trend analysis, and support on HR project work as needed. A 6-month assignment is anticipated.
The position reports to the Human Resources Deputy Director of Operations.
- Collaborate with HR team and staff to empower the organization with high quality data and reporting.
- Architect and develop data and analytics solutions, use creative thinking to build dashboards and develop effective reporting solutions that are scalable, comprehensive, and easy to understand.
- Use analytical reasoning to identify problems, develop hypotheses and build connections, recommending a data product that addresses the needs of the institution.
- Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions changes relating to employee life-cycle processing.
- Create and run audit reports to ensure data integrity.
- Assist with implementation and testing of new systems/functionality.
- Prioritize work to manage multiple workstreams, high pressure situations, and new information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience analyzing and reporting data in a Human Resources organization
- Experience using SQL, Python or other data or scripting language. Experience building and maintaining a solution to collect, store, and organize data to address client needs.
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Access and other MS programs
Professional Skills:
- Understanding of HR concepts and processes (LOA, Recruitment, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communications skills and solutions, client service-oriented with an emphasis on creativity and diligence.
- Experience using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies, working with multiple data sources and conducting research using basic statistics and using data visualization (e.g., tables, charts, and graphs) to generate insights from analyses, answering questions or creating solutions, and manipulating data to measure the effectiveness of programs, interventions, and efforts for an organization.
- Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
- Ability to work independently and as member of a team.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a rapidly changing work environment
- Ability to communicate sensitive information in a professional and confidential manner
