We are currently looking for a full-time Director of Youth Development who will directly oversee Kids Club, Camp Little Eagle, After School Enrichment Program, Kosciusko County Promise and Child Watch and Multi-Generational Rooms. This person will develop, organize and implement high quality YMCA children, teen and family programs with a focus committed to strengthening community.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manages, directs and coordinates Kids’ Club (Before and After School Program), School Break Camps, Camp Little Eagle (Summer Day Camp Program), After School Enrichment Programs, the Kosciusko County Promise and Child Watch and Multi-Generational Room.
  • Ensures high quality programming and establishes new program activities that meet YMCA objectives. Expands programs in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
  • Organizes and plans a family/youth special event four times per year, once per quarter.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs personnel and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with school administration, parent groups and other organizations and agencies related to assigned programs. Responds to all agency, parent and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
  • Maintains proper records, department files and equipment.
  • Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.
  • Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • One to two years related experience preferred.
  • Certifications:  CPR and First Aid.
  • YMCA Team Leader certificate within three years.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $33,000.00 - $35,000.00
