This position provides leadership and direction for the development, implementation and evaluation of Alzheimer's Association programs and services in the Area Chapter territory. Responsible for the supervision of all Area Chapter program staff and volunteers. Member of the Chapter management team.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Actively participate in the chapter's Management Team to ensure effective integration of strategic directions into program work plans.
- Provide leadership to appropriate chapter board committees to enable timely and responsible decision-making.
- Provide management level leadership for the development and oversight of all programs and services, including planning, budgeting and program evaluation.
- Work with the Senior Management Team to create and support a fund development plan for all chapter programs and services and provide ongoing information and support to secure funding.
- Represent the Association at public events, conferences, workshops and media events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with related health care and social service providers.
- Provide or review content for Chapter communications including, chapter publications, and media announcements on Alzheimer's disease, caregiver issues and chapter programs and services.
- Responsible for recruitment, training, coaching and supervision of all chapter program staff and volunteers, including members of the Program Committee of the Board.
- Develop and monitor program service methods, data analysis, budgets and service delivery systems.
- Develop strategies to market Association services and programs.
- Manage an on-going community needs assessment; design programs responding to identified needs.
- Maintain knowledge of and share with appropriate Association staff emerging client, program and funders issues.
- Assure compliance with all Association policies, procedures, Standards and applicable regulatory requirements; promote Association-wide programs and initiatives.
- Monitor and report on all program related grants an ensure compliance.
- Maintain current and accurate Resource Directory.
- Update and keep current program information on Chapter website- calendars.
- Manage all program related data.
- Monitor and maintain current collaborative agreements.
- Assure all contact center reports are addressed.
Educational Background:
Master's degree or equivalent work experience in human service, gerontology, social work or a related field.
Skills/Experience:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of leadership experience in program administration including needs assessment, program development, delivery, management and evaluation.
- 5 years experience supervising professional staff and volunteers.
- Experience with strategic planning, budget development and management.
- Knowledge of applicable healthcare delivery systems and issues such as: Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, HMOs, long term care insurance, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Power Point.
