POSITION SUMMARY

The SFARI Administrative Project Coordinator supports the SFARI science team to ensure that various projects are efficiently organized and executed to fulfill SFARI's mission. This position requires in-depth knowledge of SFARI operations, grants portfolio processes, and data and administrative needs.

The SFARI Administrative Project Coordinator formally reports to the SFARI Senior Executive Assistant/Administrative Manager and will work closely under the guidance of the SFARI Project Manager. They will work closely with many members of the SFARI science team and the SFARI science team's Administrative Assistant. The SFARI Administrative Project Coordinator will also help manage SFARI workshops and other events, in collaboration with the Simons Foundation events management team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and facilitate SFARI workshops and ensure they are planned in accordance with SFARI's standards of excellence.
  • Provide organizational support for Consortia and Collaborations, including but not limited to facilitating events and quarterly calls for the Autism Rat Models Consortium (ARC) and SFARI Collaboration on Sex Differences in Autism (SSDC).
  • Assist SFARI Project Manager with the annual SFARI Investigator Meeting, including but not limited to data management and analysis.
  • Project Coordination: Build and maintain Monday.com boards. Create Standard Operating Procedures and timelines for SFARI workshops and related programs.
  • Archiving: Archive and organize SFARI Dropbox files and SFARI Google Drive.
  • Liaise with the Student and Fellow Program Manager to help provide administrative support for Early Career Programs and Retreats, including Bridge to Independence Retreat, Simons Undergraduate Research Fellowship in Neuroscience and postdoctoral events for the neuroscience grantee community.
  • Meet regularly with the SFARI Senior Executive Assistant/Administrative Manager and the SFARI Project Manager to coordinate tasks and ongoing projects and deliverables.
  • Assist with all other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required


Experience

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of project coordination experience
  • Background or experience in grant-making preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to details and ability to proactively anticipate needs
  • Ability to manage multiple talks/priorities
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Ability to work well with and adapt to diverse personalities and communication styles
  • Solution focused and able to solve problems effectively

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • The full-time annual compensation range for this position is $61,000 - $70,000, depending on experience.
