Leads Social and Digital Marketing initiatives for the association, focusing on driving the Y message in a variety of platforms to advance the association and achieve strategic goals. Develop & manage content for website, social media, e-marketing. Identify opportunities to increase membership and programs through digital tactics.
1. Implement digital marketing campaign, social media community, website/mobile properties. Maintain an awareness and knowledge of monitoring trends and technology development, of new options and capabilities that may have the potential of moving the organization’s digital communication efforts forward.
2. Manage email, website, other digital communications- writing, editing and distribution. Execute email capture campaigns to increase email access to members.
3.Develops and implement strategies to expand visibility, increase membership and community engagement across all digital platforms. Planning & implementation of on-line communication, community building & brand support.
4.Leads the Association Volunteer Committee and works with the Communications Team to provide leadership for comprehensive program of internal and external public relations, marketing, branding oversight, as well as development of the Y’s digital engagement strategy. Develops & maintains editorial/content calendar & posting schedule for all digital mediums.
5. Work with staff to develop and write stories of impact, report current news and gain an in-depth knowledge about programs, activities and human interest stories in the organization.
6. Provides guidance, training, editorial council to branches and positioning team including web training and content management for staff and oversee user’s accounts.
7. Implement & oversee execution of Search Engine Optimization strategies. Create tracking reports via Google analytics, manage SEO/SEM, Google AdWords & other direct marketing/pay per click & remarketing campaigns for the association.
8. Acts as chief writer and editor for all marketing materials. Grow and maintain photo archive. Gather content, write and publish Y electronic communications including email newsletters and email blasts.
9. Leverage multiple statistical methodologies including predictive modeling, marketing mix modeling and ROI analysis to develop insights into marketing investment. Driving analytics across all digital mediums. Leads development of new reporting initiatives.
10. Provide support for Y printed materials & communications and work with Branding Coordinator on all printed materials. Provide graphic design as needed.
11. Assists in development of marketing budget, monitors forecasts & expenses.
1. Bachelor's degree in related Marketing, Communication, Journalism or equivalent.
2. Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in website, social media content management, digital communications, online marketing with in-depth knowledge of the digital marketplace including trends, digital advertising, social media and digital metrics.
3. Strong web content management skills excellent copywriting and communication skills along with previous photography/video experience preferred.
4. Advance skills with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, web content management systems and email marketing programs.
5. Proficient in Work, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, ecommerce, WordPress and Acrobat preferred.
6. Ability to create interpretive materials to enable potential donors to understand the YMCA and how they contribute to the achievement of its mission.
7. Knowledge of the media and its use in raising awareness for YMCA events and programs.
8. Strong writing abilities and editing ability.
