The Program Director will be responsible for providing support to the Executive Director with meeting the objectives of the programs provided to clients at UNITE HERE Chicago Hospitality Institute (UHCHI). The Program Director will assist with the management and development of UNITE HERE Chicago Hospitality Institute’s program expansion, operations and program evaluation, delivery of supportive services, metrics development, data capturing and data management, support with program budget creation, funder reports and coaching and staff oversight. This role is full-time, exempt.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Oversee Program Managers, Case Managers, and Employment Specialists and Financial Coaches with diverse areas of expertise and develop cross training opportunities for all staff.
- Promote positive staff/client interactions through role modeling, coaching and development.
- Analyze program data and plan for program improvements.
- In partnership with the Executive Director submit monthly, weekly, daily reports with quantitative and qualitative information.
- Review/Audit client files (hard and electronic) to ensure Employment/Financial/Supportive Services Specialists plans address identified needs, are up-to-date and that data quality is maintained.
- Conduct or arrange for appropriate orientations, in-services, and training for program staff.
- Maintain related administrative record keeping and reporting systems as required by UHCHI policy and/or program grants.
- Assist with compiling, formatting, and finalizing project proposals to submit to grant programs.
- Oversee the administration and budgeting of research grant funds and ensure compliance with grant conditions and regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service objectives and outcomes as well as other services in accordance with State and Federal grants, Joint Venture contract compliance and UNITE HERE Chicago Hospitality (UHCHI) guidelines.
- Support Program Managers, Case Managers, Employment Specialists and Financial Coaches in assisting clients obtaining necessary resources to achieve job placement goals and financial goals.
- Lead and actively participate in client- and program-related meetings and trainings.
- Attend program-related meetings as assigned.
- Support the Executive Director with preparing reports for the UHCHI Board of Trustees.
- Additional duties, as assigned.
- Extensive knowledge of program administration guidelines of federal and non-federal funders.
- Experience with budgeting and post-award management.
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google suite, and Outlook.
- Willingness to support UNITE HERE Chicago Hospitality Institute (UHCHI) Team and follow procedures in fields such as workforce development, customer/client service, and budget management.
- Willingness to lead and work effectively in a team environment.
- Must possess excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills.
- Experience with Database management, a plus.
- Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
- Detail-oriented and ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple time sensitive projects simultaneously.
- Committed to advancing UNITE HERE Chicago Hospitality Institute (UHCHI) goals and objectives.
- Ability to communicate in languages other than English is a plus.
