Our growing Association in Bucks County is seeking an innovative and entrepreneurial-minded professional to lead our Warminster Branch!
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under the supervision of the Branch Executive and in harmony with the mission of the Central Bucks Family YMCA, the Branch Director shall be a Cause Driven Leader responsible for the overall daily operation of the branch. The Warminster branch has an annual operating budget of 1.1 million dollars, 1,800 members, and an extensive Summer Camp program. Major emphasis and responsibility must be in the areas of membership growth/retention, program development/innovation, financial development, staff development/motivation, community relationships, daily operations, fiscal management, facility upkeep, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
- Develops and executes high-quality member engagement strategies and programs through Living Our Cause, which meets and/or exceeds branch and Association goals and strategies. Coordinates public relations and marketing efforts for operations of the branch.
- Recruits hires, trains, develops and engages employees and volunteers to live out the mission of the Y. Continuously evaluates staff performance and conducts annual performance reviews. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
- Develops, manages, and monitors assigned operating budgets to meet and/or exceed targets. Recommends adjustments to the budget to assure a balanced operation and prepares statistical, analytical and narrative reports regarding programs and operations of the branch as needed.
- Coordinates the development and management of branch programs to meet the needs of the community and achieve Association operating objectives, which includes program growth, innovation, and enhancement.
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area.
- Provides staff support for assigned committees. Provides leadership to a branch advisory board. Provides staff leadership for annual support campaign.
- Ensures the maintenance of facilities and properties of the branch to assure high standards of maintenance, safety, cleanliness and to assure that the requirements of regulatory codes are fully met.
- Implements and monitors a risk management plan, policies and procedures for the branch.
- Actively participates in Association task forces, committees and/or leadership teams to promote Association unity (4KEYC). Serves as a member of YMCA Stakeholders Team. Performs other duties as assigned.
- All other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Designee.
- Bachelor's degree in human services, recreation, business or a related field, or equivalent preferred.
- Five or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
- Ability to direct assigned operations including volunteer development, supervision of staff, development, and monitoring of budgets, marketing, and public relations, and program development.
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations.
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
- Complete New Employee Orientation within 60 days of date of hire.
- Attend Listen First Training within six (6) months of date of hire.
