The American Trucking Associations (ATA) is searching for a new Chief Financial Officer. This position is a high-profile, impactful role with the opportunity to make an immensely positive impact on ATA. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a key member of ATA’s Executive Vice President and Sr. Leadership team. The primary responsibility of this position is to direct the fiscal functions of the association in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, other regulatory and advisory organizations, and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate for a non-profit trade association. The incumbent is responsible for activities including, but not limited to:
•Developing organizational strategies by analyzing financial and accounting information, evaluating trends, and establishing measurements;
•Establishing short- and long-term financial goals by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements;
•Identifying monetary resources and providing financial direction;
•Provide transparency into finances for ATA’s Senior Team and Officers;
•Supervising all financial activities of the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
The CFO works closely with the ATA President and CEO, other Executive Vice Presidents, the ATA Executive Committee, financial institutions, government agencies, and ATA Board of Directors regarding ATA’s financial activities and obligations.
Expected Qualifications:
Skill Requirements-
•Must possess strong financial accounting skills including experience with monthly closing process and financial statement issuance.
•Must have previous success presenting financial data and trends to large groups (ATA’s Board of Directors, Compensation Committee, etc).
•Strong understanding of financial systems and databases, experience with SAP Concur, Ceridian Dayforce, personify, and Dynamic Solutions highly preferred.
•Must possess strong leadership skills, understands how to delegate and automate processes, understands how to motivate others.
•Must be customer-service oriented, organized and attentive to detail.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
Professional Certification and Affiliations - CPA preferred but not required.
