The Mission Operations Manager executes the Mission forecast and budget process, manages Mission Access grants, and conducts program analysis and outcome reporting. Assists management in establishing and achieving short-term and long-term Mission operation objectives. Supports the overall planning and analysis of activities across all Mission. The Mission Operations Manager works ensure all enterprise-wide operation efforts are well coordinated between all LLS departments, national office and the field.

Reports to: Senior Director, Mission Operations

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Oversee and coordinate the monthly Mission forecast process, including report generation, review and analysis with all Mission departments.
  • Coordinate monthly financial reviews with senior management.
  • Track and analyze Mission projects and activities.
  • Accountable for day-to-day administration of LLS budget policies and procedures necessary for the effectiveness of Mission goals.
  • Assist Vice President, Mission Operations and Senior Director, Mission Operations with the development of the annual Mission budget.
  • Manage the LLS National Office field grants ensuring compliance to grant learning objectives and sponsorship criteria.
  • Accountable for day-to-day grant program operations including budget reconciliation, funding allocations, regional funding utilization, establishment of standardized program materials, approval of chapter/region specific materials, and capitalizing on branding opportunities.
  • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the LLS grant process by recommending and implementing improvements to each stage of the grant cycle.
  • Assist in identifying Mission operation program efficiencies and improvements and development of coordinated enterprise-wide operational functions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of the LLS mission and programs to promote the field and campaign fundraising initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to implement strategic objectives of LLS’s Mission.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree required.
Skills/Experience: 

Experience Requirements: 

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in Project Management/Operations

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to work successfully in a cross-functional team, including interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and succeed in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
