Responsible for providing database services to The Nature Conservancy’s (TNC) application development and business user groups through the planning, installation, configuration, tuning, recoverability, on-going technical support, and operation of select SQL Server-based environments and associated third-party applications used throughout the enterprise. Provide SQL Server database administration, architecture design, and deployment practices to support a widely distributed user base in field offices around the country for the following systems: MS SharePoint 2013, BBEC CRMS, UNIT4 ABW, and SQL Server Master Data Services (MDS). Serve as a primary architect in designing and developing TNC’s data integration and business intelligence capabilities using MDS. Facilitate knowledge transfer throughout the department, and collaborate with existing team members and other TIS colleagues in a dynamic environment working under established service level agreements. In addition, responsibilities include the administration of a custom developed (SharePoint 2013/SQL Server/.Net) application that supports the management of enterprise-wide conservation data. Both TNC’s Customer Relationship Management (BBEC CRMS) and Financial (UNIT4 ABW) systems require experience with SSRS for reporting and SSIS for certain data exchange interfaces. Knowledge of MDS is central to the data management and data integration efforts of TNC’s major systems, and will be a primary focus for this position. All of these technologies are critical to the overall infrastructure.
