YMCA Camp Bernie
YMCA Camp Bernie sits within the Schooley Mountains in Hunterdon County, NJ on 285 acres of hilly forests and beautiful stream.
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Property Maintenance Director will ensure a clean, safe and friendly environment by overseeing the maintenance repairs and security of the buildings and grounds of our year-round camp.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Manages all maintenance and property projects
- Hires, trains and supervises the facilities maintenance staff.
- Performs preventative maintenance for facility.
- Creates, and adheres to, facilities budget.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
Skills/Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required; college preferred
- Previous experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, power tools and landscaping preferred
- Prior experience supervising staff desirable
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills necessary
- Experience in budgeting a plus
