Do you have a passion for managing computer hardware, peripherals, software, networking infrastructure, telephone equipment, and member-accessible networked equipment?
If hired for this position you will be responsible to provide and maintain computer hardware, such as computer workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, copiers, cameras, kiosks and other peripherals. You will work with staff at YMCA branches to maintain branch file servers, operating systems, network infrastructure, and telephone hardware.
In this position you will be able to use your skills for:
Computer Hardware, Software and Peripherals:
- Provide and maintain YMCA hardware (workstations, laptops, mobile devices). Manage leased equipment and replace at end of lease cycle. Using YMCA management tools ensure all devices stay current with applicable firmware, operating system, application and security updates.
- Maintain branch user accounts, including creation, deletion, password issues, security configurations and script management.
- Maintain branch file servers by ensuring operating system, firmware, and applications are up to date, hardware is examined weekly for alerts, and an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) protects server.
- Provide and maintain YMCA printers, copiers, cameras, barcode scanners, kiosks and any other necessary peripherals.
Network Infrastructure:
- Maintain local area network switching and cabling as necessary under coordination with Network Administrator to ensure reliability and security.
- Support publicly accessible local area network, including distribution of network services to fitness equipment and public-facing computers while ensuring public does not have access to private YMCA data network.
- Maintain public wireless network.
- Serve as local contact for repairs involving wide area network circuits.
Telephony:
- Maintain branch telephone hardware, including telephone switch, desktop phones, fax machines, alarm lines, user configuration and workgroup support.
- Assist branches with temporary modifications needed during registration or other high call volume periods.
- Serve as local contact for repairs involving branch telephone system and circuit repairs.
Are you a good fit?
- I have an Associates Degree or 2 year equivalent experience in computer and network support.
- I have reliable transportation required for commuting to different branch locations.
- I have proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- I have a positive attitude and previous experience with diverse populations
