The Larkin’s Place Inclusion Program Director is responsible for administrating, organizing, promoting, and managing all of the functions that relate to programming those individuals with developmental disabilities to further our mission of an inclusive environment. 

Areas of Responsibility: 

Incumbent will work with other program directors to create inclusive areas and participation as well as creating programs solely for people with disabilities.  Will work with COO to develop and implement a plan to execute programming, assist with training staff in working with individuals with developmental disabilities and to educate our members and community the importance of inclusion. 

Skills/Experience: 

Possess a four (4) year degree in special education, recreation, or related human services field with 2 or more years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 Incumbent must have proven knowledge in program management, staff development, and public relations, and have the organizational skills required to maintain effective management of staff, equipment, resources, and programs for delivery of best possible programs. Must have excellent human relations skills and must be able to relate to diverse groups.  Decision-making and problem-solving skills are critical to job. Incumbent must support the mission and values of the YMCA through personal words and actions. Must be able to exert self physically (lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling).
