Job Objective: The field education and faculty director is part of the Operations division director team responsible for excellent expedition program execution in a leadership environment that embodies equity and inclusion for diverse teams. This position helps develop school wide priorities and policies for expedition students and field faculty. They lead a division of Operations that ensures field instructor recruitment, selection, training, and career development align with exceptional student outcomes and NOLS’ field course mix opportunities. The field education and faculty director leads collaboration between the Expedition and Leadership Education, Field Staffing, and Field Instructor Development departments.
Field Instructor Development Department Lead

Job Objective: Field Instructor Development lead will coordinate recruitment, training and professional development, and career mentorship programs to build a NOLS field instructor corps with high career satisfaction and longevity, aligned with expedition course mix goals. In addition to supervising three program coordinators in the department, the field development lead will directly implement some programs, such as the Course Leader Development Annual Field positions.
Field Faculty Training Coordinator

Job Objective: The Training Coordinator implements and coordinates instructor course and alternative field instructor certification pathways, as well as the Field Instructor Seminar program. Coordinates with the field staffing director and field development lead, and recruitment and development coordinator to determine instructor course and seminar priorities.

Work Location: NOLS Headquarters, Lander, Wyoming. Remote work may be an option for experienced candidates in some positions in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, New York, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
