The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is searching for a cause-driven Marketing Specialist to serve Camp Widjiwagan in Nashville, Tennessee!

Consistent with the Christian mission and vision of the YMCA of Middle TN, and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, under the direction of the Director of Administration, the Camp Marketing Specialist will provide support to Camp marketing programs while maintaining the YMCA of Middle Tennessee’s existing brand standards.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
  • Collaborate with all the departments and association marketing team in order to develop and execute comprehensive and cohesive marketing strategy that serves all departments
  • Manage selection, inventory and distribution of promotional items and manage camp store
  • Understand and implement YUSA branding standards
  • Assist in the development of Camp promotional materials such as flyers, posters, and print ads
  • Manage Camp’s YouTube channel and create short videos for use in marketing campaigns for summer camp programs, retreats and events, and philanthropy
  • Design, create, and distribute print and online marketing communications
  • Create and manage email campaigns
  • Assist in the development, management, and ongoing expansion of the program’s customer base
  • Oversee camp’s website including: ongoing website enhancements, online advertising, testing and measurement of website and other online marketing activities
  • Create and manage posting, posting schedules content development, customer service, monitoring and analytics for all social media sites, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Recruit and supervise seasonal marketing interns
  • Manage Camp’s SmugMug photo system
  • Assist in development of photographs for both marketing material and Camp’s Photo Book program
  • Provide day-to-day direction for summer seasonal media team to ensure photographs and video are collected across all summer camp programs
Educational Background: 
High school diploma or equivalent required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA
  • An enthusiastic personality with the desire to serve members, volunteers, guests, participants and staff to create a culture of service within our Centers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
  • Must present a professional image and possess conflict resolution skills, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs, as well as the ability to use most office equipment is required
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Marketing, Public Relations or Graphic Design degree preferred
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Experience with photography and videography equipment preferred
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $30,067.00 - $37,584.00
