The YMCA of Central Florida is seeking a dynamic leader as the Operations Director with proven related experience as the right-hand to the District Executive Director, providing leadership support for our Brevard County YMCA Family Center locations.

Under the direction of the District Executive Director, this individual is responsible for overseeing daily operations and successful execution of programming in the areas of membership, wellness, aquatics, sports, youth development and family programming. They manage member participation and retention through the development and execution of innovative programs to achieve strategic goals and provide outstanding customer service. The incumbent is responsible for revenue growth, fiscal management, financial development, facilities management, as well as hiring, training and supervision of staff. The position is responsible for demonstrating YMCA leadership competencies to ensure the mission, purpose, image and core values are upheld.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Key areas of focus for this position include; assisting with day to day operations management for the Brevard County Y’s, identifying and securing new opportunities and revenue streams, securing new corporate membership partnerships, assists with leading the financial development / philanthropy initiatives, expand the Silver Sneakers and Florida Healthcare enrollments to increase program revenue, and research new grants for the assigned Brevard County YMCA Family Center locations.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; exercise science, wellness, fitness, sport management, membership service or related field of study preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • 5-7 years of experience in wellness or membership service related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in staff supervision and leadership preferred.
  • YMCA wellness or programs experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required; Oracle and Salesforce CRM experience a plus.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required (within 30 days of hire).
